Samer Halawi

Halawi was appointed as Thuraya’s chief executive officer in January 2011. He is responsible for leading Thuraya's strategic positioning and driving its growth as a prominent mobile satellite operator. Previously, he occupied the role of chief strategy and business development officer at Intigral, after having served in the position of vice president for Global Corporate Strategy at Inmarsat plc. Halawi earned a Bachelor of Science degree in electrical engineering from Lawrence Technological University and a Master of Business Administration degree from the University of Michigan at Ann Arbor.
